"We walk by faith and not by sight" 2 Corinthians 5:7. Most Christians have heard this multiple times during their lifetime. But what does it really mean to walk by faith? When the Bible mentions your walk, it is speaking of your lifestyle. How do you handle yourself when the storms of life are raging? It's easy to be faithful when your bills are paid, and you are healthy. But let one of these elements change, and how will you handle yourself then? When a house is built, its foundation must be strong and able to shelter the occupants from the rain, wind, and storms. If the foundation is shaky, it will be hard for the house to remain stable. In the same way, we must have a foundation of faith to survive the storms of life.
My story takes you through the elements of fire that helped me to mature in my faith walk. It wasn't always easy; in fact, sometimes it was downright scary, BUT GOD. There is no doubt in my mind that it was God carrying me when I was too weak to carry myself.
I pray that after reading how He did it for me, you will find the courage you need to "Walk by faith and not by sight."
